What has Nubes done to date to popularize classical languages and cultures?
From the spring of 2023 to the present, Nubes has made videos, participated in ambulationes-that is, walks in which those present speak to each other in Latin-has been present with its banquet at Rome's Christmas celebrations at the Circus Maximus, has given a lecture in the Curia Iulia, Rome, one at the Humaniter Foundation in Naples, and has produced three comic books about the ancient world that have Latin as their main language, shipping them all over the world.
"Origines Pictae" is a collection of twelve independent stories, different in era and genre, but united by the Roman setting and the language of realization, Latin. It is no coincidence that we presented it with the motto, "they will return to speak with their true voices."
"Medeae Daemones" is the comic transposition of the tragedy of the same name, written in Latin by Stefano Vittori and winner of the Thalia Award. Given the poetic language, we chose to include the text opposite in Italian or English.
"Maxentius Postremus Romulus" is a true historical comic novel, inspired by the essay by Marco Cecini and Diego Serra published by the Universidad de Murcia. The comic strip is produced in three different languages: Italian, Latin, and English, to satisfy even history buffs who do not feel like trying Latin.
