Una nuova opera di Stefano Vittori a Thalia

A new work by Stefano Vittori in Thalia

From July 4th to 11th in Vilnius, Lithuania, took place the second edition of “Thalia”, a festival dedicated to theater in Latin and Greek. Between lecture series and guided tours of the delightful city of Vilnius, were staged new plays, composed in the present time, in Latin or Greek. And what is more alive than theater?

Once again, an event open not only to teachers, but also to students and lovers of ancient languages, organized by the Schola Humanistica of Padua. Because learning is about opening new horizons, exploring worlds and making connections, without prejudice and in the full spirit of sharing.

What does Nubes have to do with all this?
Stefano Vittori, already author of the play “Medeae Daemones” transposed into comics by us, has participated with a new tragedy: “Agave”. Un testo inteso, inquietante, simbolico eppure fisico, senza tempo ma più contemporaneo che mai,  portato in scena dalla consolidata squadra di parlanti latino formata da Marina Garanin and Andrea Alesiani, with the addition of our Francesco Vacca. Stefano Vittori won the prize “Calamus Aureus” e Marina Garanin “Persona Aurea”.

We wish "Agave" to tread many stages.
Certainly, we at Nubes will give it the space it deserves: at a date to be determined, a comic book adaptation will also be released for "Agave", with parallel text in Italian or English.
And this is not the only initiative: keep following us.
