Francesca Reading

Francesca left her native England in 1997, to move to Italy, her mother’s homeland, soon to become her adopted one. Even though as a young girl she couldn’t speak a word of Italian, she now puts her bilingual abilities to good use, as both a translator and interpreter, having never forgotten her roots and love for her country of birth.
A few years after graduating from the Scuola del Fumetto of Milan (2009–2012), she decided to further her linguistic abilities and enrolled in the European Languages and Cultures Faculty at University. Being an avid reader by name and nature, she continues to study and experiment with philology, lexicon and the usage of language, in order to properly bring the characters she describes to life.
Ever since 2016 she has been the official translator for Tatai Lab (Lumina Vol. 1, 2, 3, 4 and Kaya); recently she began her collaboration with Nubes, i.e. the English version of Maxentius, Postremus Romulus in 2024.
Over the last few years she has been called as an interpreter for several conventions and events, including the very exclusive Lake Como Comic Art Festival, and to oversee the exam sessions at the Scuola del Fumetto, the very same school she attended.
